Liam Payne, the former One Direction singer, tragically died after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on October 16. According to reports, CCTV footage shows that Liam fainted just before he fell. Argentinian journalist Paula Varela shared this information during a segment on Canal 13’s “Socios del Espectáculo.” She explained that the footage, which has not been released to the public, captures Liam fainting and then falling from his third-floor room at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel.

Varela emphasized that Liam did not jump intentionally. She said that if he had fainted beside his bed, he would have fallen onto it instead of out the window. This claim contrasts with earlier statements from authorities, who suggested that he jumped from the balcony. The preliminary autopsy supports Varela's account, stating that Liam might have fallen while in a state of unconsciousness.

In the moments leading up to his fall, a hotel receptionist called for emergency help. The receptionist reported that a guest was "trashing" his room and appeared to be "high on drugs." This concerned the staff, especially because the balcony posed a danger.

The autopsy revealed that Liam suffered multiple traumatic injuries, including internal and external bleeding. A toxicology report found several substances in his system, including cocaine, benzodiazepine, crack, and a drug known as "pink cocaine." This mixture of drugs raises serious concerns about his state of mind at the time of the accident.

There are also allegations that a hotel employee may have provided drugs to Liam, which could lead to legal action. The National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office in Argentina is investigating this claim. Recently, authorities raided the CasaSur Hotel to gather more evidence. They are particularly interested in small items found in Liam's room, like a Dove soap box, which might have been used for drug exchanges.

Liam’s tragic passing has shocked fans and the music community worldwide. He was only 31 years old and had a promising career ahead of him. The circumstances surrounding his death highlight serious issues related to drug use and the responsibilities of those in the hospitality industry.

As investigations continue, many are left wondering about the factors that contributed to this unfortunate event. Fans remember Liam not just for his music but for his personality and the joy he brought to their lives. His untimely death serves as a reminder of the importance of mental health and the need for support for those struggling with addiction and related issues.
