The entire Bollywood has been shaken with the early morning firing outside Salman Khan’s home in Mumbai on Sunday (April 14).
Two unidentified gunmen fired gunshots at his residence in Mumbai at 5 am in the morning today (April 14). Now gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol Bishnoi has taken responsibility of the shooting today.
He has said in a social media post via an account which was recently activated, that: “ye sirf trailer tha.” Anmol Bishnoi is the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and he is also accused in the murder of Punjabi singer-turned-politician Sidhu Moosewala.
The post was shared five – six hours after the attack on Salman Khan’s house. In the post Anmol has further said that it was a trailer to show Salman their might and that ‘don’t consider us less. Consider this as the last warning.’ (hamari takat ko aur matt parkho. Yeh pehli aur akhri warning hai).
Anmol Bishnoi had escaped to Azerbaijan after he was accused in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case. He was last spotted in the US at a wedding.
Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde has also spoken with Salman Khan after the shooting incident. He also spoke with the Mumbai Police Commissioner and asked them to beef up security of the actor and his residence.
Salman Khan has Y plus security, which was also reviewed last year following threats from Lawrence Bishnoi in November 2023.
The Mumbai police and forensics had reached Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra to investigate the matter. The two unidentified gunmen are at large and the bullets were fired from foreign pistols, police said.
Lawrence Bishnoi is currently in jail and has in the past sent many death threats to Salman Khan. He had even admitted to having sent threats to the actor.
In a statement to the NIA in 2022, Bishnoi had admitted that he wants to kill Salman Khan. “In 2018, I sent a message to Sampat Nehra Salman Khan has hurt our religious sentiments by killing Black Buck, so he should be killed,” Bishnoi had said this to NIA. Sampat was nabbed by Haryana police.
