Full Plate, a personal and poignant tale about food, faith, and perseverance in daily life, was directed by Tannishtha Chatterjee, a former National Award-winning actor who is now a filmmaker.

Kulhari portrays Amreen, a housewife whose talent for cooking initially gives the impression that she is a devoted wife. But as the narrative goes on, her distinct, funny, and inquisitive personality comes to the fore.

The actor, who is travelling to Busan for the premiere, acknowledged that she feels a mixture of joy, excitement, and nervousness.

“Full Plate is a film that’s very close to my heart, and for it to begin its journey at such a prestigious platform feels incredibly special,” she said in a statement. “As an actor, it’s rare to find stories that both challenge and move you. Amreen’s journey did that for me, and I can’t wait for the world to meet her. Starting this chapter on a global stage is a blessing.”

For Kulhari, 2025 has been a pivotal year. She now celebrates her first leading role to be featured at an international festival, following strong performances in Hisaab Barabar and Badass Ravikumar.

Reflecting on the effort behind the project, she shared, “This film means the world to me because I gave it my blood and sweat. I’m so looking forward to being at Busan and watching this story come alive for cinema lovers everywhere. I have a feeling it’s going to be unforgettable.”
