Kang Daniel, a K-pop sensation, who is presently on a massive US tour, has encountered many difficulties lately, including a robbery and a postponed show, but he still greets fans with optimism and tenacity.

The robbery happened while Kang and his team were travelling to San Jose, California.

As per Korean Times, thieves reportedly broke into a staff vehicle and made off with a suitcase full of stage essentials, including costumes, hair and make-up kits, and even merchandise items. His agency, ARA, confirmed the incident and said the team acted quickly, buying replacements to ensure the shows went ahead as planned.

Kang later addressed fans directly, choosing honesty and optimism. “All my luggage was stolen — costumes, hair and makeup tools, even merchandise goods,” he wrote on social media, before lightening the mood with: “But let’s still make it a fun show.”

The message reassured fans that he was focused on delivering the experience they had been waiting for, despite the loss.

The 27-year-old artist has been travelling across 12 American cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, and Chicago, bringing his music to international audiences.

His new single, No Day, released on 3 September, has only added to the excitement around the tour. Once he wraps up in the US, he will head to South America, with shows confirmed in Argentina and Brazil.

But the road has not been entirely smooth. On 6 September, his scheduled concert in New Jersey had to be cancelled at the last minute due to safety concerns. His agency explained that the stage setup and venue preparation were not up to standard, making it unsafe for fans.

Kang addressed the issue with an emotional apology: “I sincerely apologize to the fans who came to the scene, looking forward to today’s concert. We discussed with the local side until the last minute, but we inevitably decided to cancel the performance in an incomplete environment because it could be a bigger risk for fans. Tickets are automatically refunded without a separate request.”
