This sparked a speculation among fans about an upcoming collaboration. Pharrell’s previous work with K-pop stars, including a fashion auction with BIGBANG’s G-Dragon, added to the anticipation. Furthermore, recent studio sessions featuring Pharrell, CL, and G-Dragon have heightened expectations for new musical projects.

BTS leader RM commenetd on j-Hope's post, "Next year please come faster." This further fueld speculation about a potential collaboration involving BTS members or the entire group with Pharrell.
Currently, j-Hope is serving as an active-duty soldier in the military. He is set to be discharged on October 17, 2024. Known for his exceptional rapping and dancing skills, j-Hope recently made a comeback with his album HOPE ON THE STREET VOL. 1, released on March 29, 2024. The album features the lead track NEURON, which includes collaborations with Yoon Mirae and Gaeko, as well as songs featuring Jungkook, LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yunjin, Nile Rodgers, and Benny Blanco.

RM is also serving as an active-duty soldier in the Special Task Force (SDT) of the Army Capital Defense Command. RM made a comeback with his album Right Place, Wrong Person on May 24, 2024.
The BTS members RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook have reached the halfway point of their mandatory military service as of September 10, 2024. This milestone brings the group closer to their scheduled reunion in June 2025. Earlier this year, the members briefly reunited to celebrate Jin’s discharge, offering fans a glimpse of the highly anticipated full-group return.
