The latest Epstein files reveal that Mark Epstein accused US President Donald Trump of allegedly ordering his brother, convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, murdered to prevent him from disclosing names.
The FBI’s National Threat Operations Centres received an online tip from Jeffrey Epstein’s brother on February 22, 2023.
While awaiting trial on serious sex trafficking charges, Jeffrey Epstein died in his New York jail cell. The body was later identified by his brother, Mark Epstein.
According to the FBI’s Threat Intake Examiner, “Jeffrey Epstein was murdered in his jail cell. I have reason to believe he was killed because he was about to name names. I believe President Trump authorised the murder.”
Who is Mark Epstein?
Born in 1954 in Brooklyn, New York, Mark Epstein is a property developer and former artist and the younger brother of convicted financier Jeffrey Epstein. According to the Sun Sentinel, Mark Epstein studied at Cooper Union and Stony Brook University and has run multiple businesses, including a real estate firm and a T-shirt printing company.
While Jeffrey Epstein’s life was surrounded by controversy, Mark Epstein has largely remained low profile, avoiding his brother’s financial criminal affairs.
Since 2019, from the moment he saw his brother’s dead body, Mark Epstein has repeatedly raised questions about the official verdict. During the meeting with medical examiners to identify Jeffrey’s body, he said they suggested the death might not have been a suicide.
“They came out of the autopsy and they both concurred that this looked more like a homicide than a suicide,” Mark said.
In a 2023 tip to the FBI, Mark Epstein claimed that Donald Trump was involved, though authorities later categorised the allegation as false.
The Official Cause of Epstein’s Death
On August 10, 2019, Jeffrey Epstein was discovered unresponsive in his cell early while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges. New York City’s chief medical examiner ruled his death a suicide by hanging, and formal reviews by the DOJ and the FBI have confirmed that they found no evidence of foul play.
