Exclusive: Abhishek Bachchan to join Prabhas' Fauji soon

Abhiashek Bachchan is going to join Prabhas in Fauji

Pan-India actor Prabhas has a strong lineup of films and one of those much-anticipated films is the one being directed by Hanu Raghavapudi of Sita Ramam fame. Said to have been titled 'Fauji', this film is a love story set in the pre-Independence era and is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.

According to one of our close sources, Moneycontrol has exclusively learned that Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has been approached for a key role in the film, and he has given a nod as well.

"Abhishek Bachchan is the perfect fit for the character the makers approached him for. AB liked the character arc, and it is being further developed. Commercials are being discussed and he will soon be part of the shoot as well," said a source.

This news has raised expectations about the film. Having someone like Abhishek Bachchan in a Telugu film makes a lot of difference. Abhishek is known for choosing scripts carefully and also for not having an impressive career even after being the son of Amitabh Bachchan.

Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Rajesh Sharma and Jaya Prada are already part of the movie, which is being made on a massive scale. Said to be the costliest of all the films made by Mythri Movie Makers, Fauji has Imanvi playing the leading lady. This film marks her debut in Indian cinema.

Massive sets in Ramoji Film City are built for this period drama, which has Sudeep Chatterjee as the DOP.

This film has been on the floors for quite some time now and the makers have been shooting key scenes based on the availability of Prabhas, as he is also busy with Raja Saab. 

Prabhas will soon join the sets of 'Spirit' with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and then 'Salaar 2' with Prashanth Neel, making it very clear to fans and filmmakers that he is completely occupied and committed for the next three years.
