LE SSERAFIM, who recently performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, faces backlash from netizens over vocals and the Min Hee Jin vs HYBE feud.
The popular K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM has recently disabled the comments section on all their social media platforms. This includes their official accounts on X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, and more. The move comes amidst growing online hate directed at the group and its members.
Fans noticed that LE SSERAFIM has not only turned off the ability to comment but has also erased past comments on their Instagram posts. This change extends to the personal social media accounts of all the group members, effectively silencing the interaction from netizens.

The likely reason for this drastic measure is the surge in hate comments that the members have been receiving. Although the comments were turned off in June, fans have only recently become aware of this change. The impact of these negative comments was poignantly highlighted in their recent documentary, Make It Look Easy, where members Hong Eunchae and Huh Yunjin were visibly distressed by the hate. Eunchae was shown reading hate comments, and Yunjin was seen crying, revealing the emotional toll on the group.
The documentary also showed Sakura admitting to becoming scared of performing in front of people, and other members expressing their worries about not working hard enough, leading to tears and visible stress. Fans are now genuinely concerned about the well-being of the LE SSERAFIM members, fearing the mental and emotional impact of the constant negativity.
Fans have voiced their support and sympathy for the group, emphasising the need for a positive environment for the idols. The decision to turn off comments is seen as a necessary step to protect the members' mental health.
My opinion on the whole le sserafim thing. Criticism and constructive criticism are valid, but a majority of you are just hating to hate at this point. Sending her hate and death threats to the point that she has to turn off her comment section on Instagram. (1/4) https://t.co/0QbDWyjupB— Drea saw twice (@yourfullsunlvr) July 30, 2024
