The sudden demise of Comedy Khiladigalu Season 3 winner Rakesh Poojary has left the Kannada entertainment industry in a state of deep shock and mourning. As reported by Kannada media outlets, the popular comedian tragically passed away in the early hours of Monday, May 12, after suffering a heart attack.

The Kannada entertainment industry is in shock following the tragic death of Comedy Khiladigalu Season 3 winner Rakesh Poojary. According to local Kannada media, the well-known comedian passed away early on Monday, May 12, after suffering a heart attack.

Rakesh was attending a mehndi event in Nitte, a town in the Karkala taluk of the Udupi district, when the tragic event took place. His fatal cardiac arrest is thought to have occurred during the festivities at around two in the morning. He was 33.

His admirers, fellow performers, and well-wishers, many of whom remember him for his warm personality and comic genius, have been deeply saddened by the news of his premature death.

Actor Shivraj KR Pete confirmed the news of Rakesh's death. Actress Rakshitha, judge of Comedy Khiladigalu, expressed her condolence over his death and wrote, "The ever similing Rakesha...my fav Rakesha..the most sweetest kindest loving person... Namma Rakesha...will miss u magne."

Rakesh Poojary—fondly referred to by viewers as Vishwaroop—was a well-known and adored figure on Kannada television. His remarkable comic timing and stage presence helped his team win second place in the second season of Comedy Khiladigalu, which is when he first gained public attention. This early success paved the way for an even bigger victory in the third season of the show, when Rakesh and his group won the coveted title on the well-liked Zed Kannada program.

Rakesh made significant contributions to theatre and film in addition to the small screen. His love of acting carried over into the film industry, where he made a lasting impression with parts in Kannada productions like Pailwan and Itu Entha Lokavayya.

He was also recognized for his work in Tulu cinema, with memorable performances in films like Petkammi and Ammer Police. His versatility across mediums showcased a talent deeply rooted in performance art, earning him admiration across various audiences.
