Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s Thamma continues its strong theatrical run, surpassing Rs 100 crore mark in India. The Maddock horror-comedy has impressed audiences with its quirky storyline and connection to the MHCU universe.

Thamma is enjoying a decent run at the box office

Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Thamma continues to enjoy a decent run at the box office. The film opened in the theatres with positive reviews from the audience and the critics, and has now achieved a new milestone.

According to a trade website, Thamma collected Rs 0.28 crore net in India, taking its total collection to Rs 101.1 crore in the domestic market in 9 days.

The film registered 6.28% Hindi occupancy with 6.28% morning shows.

Celebrating the success, Ayushmann took to his Instagram and shared a video. The clip was accompanied by the caption, “Hum toh soche ki Bicky ki girlfriend hi bhootiya hai… Yahan toh humaara apna bhai bhi bhootiya nikla (We thought Biki's girlfriend was the ghost... here even our own brother turned out to be a ghost).”



He continued, “Par kya karein, khoon ka risstaa hai humaara (But what can we do, we are related by blood) oopar se alone I am bittu and together we are bittt-toooo-much. Hope you all had a Thammakedaar experience watching Thamma!”

The actor expressed gratitude towards the fans and added, “Thank you for showering so much love to the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.”

About Thamma

Thamma revolves around Alok (Ayushmann Khurrana), who meets the enigmatic Tadaka (Rashmika Mandanna) while hiking and learns she is a betal, a vampiric creature. Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays another vampire in the movie, and Varun Dhawan and other MHCU characters make brief appearances.
