The Girlfriend, Rashmika Mandanna's newest Telugu romantic drama, came out in theaters on November 7 and has already done very well at the box office. Even a week after its big opening, theaters are still seeing a lot of people. The movie is directed by Rahul Ravindran and stars Dheekhith Shetty and Anu Emmanuel in important roles. Many fans are excited for its OTT debut because critics have praised the story and the acting.
When and where will The Girlfriend be available to watch?
Even though the movie did well in theaters, people are very interested in its digital release. Oneindia says that Netflix has bought the OTT rights to The Girlfriend. Most Telugu movies have a four- to five-week window after they come out in theaters, so the movie should be on the platform around December 5, 2025.
Even though the people who made the movie haven't said anything official, word on the street is that it will probably start streaming in the first week of December. The team hasn't said anything about the digital premiere yet.
According to a report online, The Girlfriend made Rs 8.85 crore in its first five days. On day six, it had an overall occupancy rate of 18.85% across Telugu regions, with the evening and night shows doing especially well. During one of the promotional events, producer Dheeraj Mogilineni mentioned that Rashmika worked for this film without taking any remuneration and said she will take it only after the film is released.
