The internet has been buzzing with joy ever since Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal revealed they are expecting their first child. And now, fans have been treated to Katrina’s very first public appearance since the announcement — at none other than her brother-in-law Sunny Kaushal’s birthday.

The celebration was a cosy family affair, with Sunny sharing snippets on Instagram Stories. But it was the frame featuring Katrina that stole the spotlight.

Dressed simply yet radiating warmth, the actress appeared alongside the family, and the photo immediately went viral.

Earlier this week, the couple broke the happy news with a tender black-and-white Polaroid that melted hearts across the internet.

Vicky stood nearby, his hand lovingly resting on Katrina's belly as she held her baby bump in the picture.

They captioned the image as, “On our way to start the best chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude.”

In addition to confirming months of conjecture, the post emphasised the bond the two share. Katrina and Vicky have frequently discussed how much they cherish family ever since their idyllic wedding at the Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan in 2021. It seemed like a logical progression of that journey when they announced their pregnancy.

Though the couple has chosen to stay private, reports suggest Katrina is in her third trimester and the baby is expected between October 15 and October 30. If the timing is right, their child may even end up sharing a birthday week with actress Ananya Panday.

Earlier, a candid picture of Katrina in a maroon gown, with her bump clearly visible, sent fans into a frenzy. “So so happy for her… Congratulations!” one user wrote. Another added, “My inner 14-year-old fan is screaming. Congratulations.”
