Isha Koppikar on strong women in her family

Actress Isha Koppikar has recently admitted that Dussehra has always been a very special occasion for her. The actress shared that the festival marks the remarkable strength of the four generations of women in her life as well as the triumph of good over evil.

Isha revealed that she learned to live her life with dignity, grace, and strength by embracing every chance she had to spend time with her grandmother as a child.

The actress idolised her grandmother and said, “My grandmother was my first teacher in what it means to be truly strong. Many of the qualities, ethics, and ideologies that define me today, are a reflection of her unwavering principles.”

Those early years spent with her grandmother directly influenced Isha's quiet fortitude and her capacity to stick to her principles. That same spirit of a warrior was then passed down to her mother.

She shared about her mother, “My mother taught me what resilience looks like. She faced life's challenges with such grace and determination that I never doubted what a woman was capable of."

Isha built her own life, both on and off screen, on those early lessons in strength and how to remain steadfast even when the ground beneath you trembles.

She reflects on her own journey and added, “I realized I had to be my own Durga. Sometimes the battles we fight are silent, but that doesn't make them any less significant."

Isha sees the circle complete now that she is a mother to her cherished daughter, Rianna. The meaning of Dussehra has changed for her.
