
Sunaina Roshan, sister of Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, has once again drawn attention with a deeply personal message shared via social media about her long and often painful battle with addiction. In a heartfelt video, Sunaina opened up about her struggle not just with alcohol, but also with an unhealthy dependence on junk food and sweets — demonstrating that addiction can take many forms beyond what people commonly imagine.
In the video, Sunaina described how the hardest part of her journey was simply admitting she had a problem. “The hardest thing I ever did was admit that I had a problem, but it changed everything,” she said, explaining that this moment of acceptance marked a turning point in her life.
“Addiction can take many forms, food, alcohol, even habits we don’t realise we’re clinging to," she added.
She shared that her struggle included not only alcoholism but also an unhealthy dependence on sweets and junk food, and emphasized that adopting the right mindset and having a strong support system were key to her recovery.
“I struggled with alcoholism and at one point an unhealthy relationship with sweets and junk food. It wasn’t easy."
“With the right mindset, support and the courage to talk about it, I was able to pull myself out," she said. Sunaina further while emphasising that addiction should not become one’s identity, said, “Addiction does not define you, but it does demand that you face it. Don’t be afraid to reach out for support. You are unbreakable," she concluded with.
In response to her video, Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, and Pinkie Roshan all took to the comments section to praise Sunaina’s courage and resilience, applauding her strength and spirit for speaking openly about her struggles.

She has previously battled serious medical issues, including cancer and a brain-related condition, and has emerged stronger through each hardship.
