As Season 19 preparations officially begin, Salman Khan is expected to make a triumphant comeback to Indian television with yet another season of Bigg Boss. Industry insiders say that promotional shoots will start in July, and the highly anticipated premiere is anticipated in August.

A recent update from popular insider page Bigg Boss Tak confirmed the launch timeline, noting, “Bigg Boss to start from August is CONFIRMED. While the makers have decided this time to start with the TV version for 3.5 months, and then the OTT version to run later on. Theme for Bigg Boss 19: REWIND. Secret Room to be back, Audience to nominate the contestants, and then contestants to play an important role in the eviction.”

The show seems ready to go back to some of its most recognisable formats and twists with the "Rewind" theme.

Fans can anticipate the return of the beloved Secret Room as well as a major shift in the nomination process, with viewers allegedly having the ability to choose who gets to enter the danger zone. The decision of who is evicted will then be more heavily influenced by the contestants themselves, adding a new level of strategy and tension to the format.

BIGG BOSS 19 CONTESTANTS

Meanwhile, the rumour mill is in full swing as several celebrity names are doing the rounds as possible contestants.

These include Faisal Shaikh (Mr. Faisu), Daisy Shah, Tanushree Dutta, Khushi Dubey, Vikram Singh Chauhan, Ram Kapoor, Sharad Malhotra, Raj Kundra, Gaurav Taneja, Paras Kalnawat, and Shashank Vyas. While none have been officially confirmed, the list hints at a dynamic and diverse cast in the making.

Earlier, there were whispers of tension between Banijay Asia (Endemol Shine India) and broadcaster Colors TV, sparking speculation about the show's future. However, with pre-production back on track, those concerns seem to have been ironed out.

A source close to the production revealed to Pinkvilla that Salman Khan is expected to shoot the promo videos by the end of July, indicating a well-structured rollout plan. As the excitement builds and nostalgia takes centre stage, Bigg Boss 19 promises to be a heady mix of past thrills and new drama.
