Tanya Mittal's Bigg Boss 19 drama has taken an unexpected and grave turn. The recent arrest of Tanya's ex-boyfriend Balraj Singh at the Mumbai airport has only fuelled the already fervent rumours about her personal life, both inside and outside the Bigg Boss house.

Fans and the media were ablaze with theories at first because it was unclear why Balraj had been detained.

But according to Dainik Bhaskar, the Goregaon West Police later confirmed that Balraj was arrested over alleged remarks made against a particular religion — a serious accusation that has brought even more scrutiny to his name.

Actress Zoya Khan, who previously claimed to have been in a relationship with Balraj, was the one to bring the issue to light. She shared an audio clip online, in which Balraj is reportedly heard making the offensive comments. Taking to Instagram, Zoya also posted a video confirming that she has now taken legal action against him.

But the allegations didn’t stop there. In a candid chat with Tele Talk, Zoya shared disturbing details about her time with Balraj. She accused him of physical and emotional abuse, as well as issuing death threats and blackmailing her with private photographs. She said, “Balraj had promised marriage and religious conversion, but did so purely for his own gain.”

Balraj Singh isn’t just known for his connection to Tanya. He’s a prominent social media influencer and local politician from Uttar Pradesh, serving as the Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Sehalpura. With over 2.6 million followers on Instagram and a YouTube channel — Balraj Singh Entertainment — he’s built a strong online presence discussing everything from celebrity culture to social issues.

Since Tanya’s entrance into the Bigg Boss house, Balraj hasn’t held back. He’s publicly criticised her, calling her “fake” and accusing her of creating a false image of wealth. He’s mocked her claims of having “150 bodyguards”, only drinking from “silver utensils”, and living in a mansion “more luxurious than a seven-star hotel”.
