Fans are glued to Bigg Boss 19, which is currently running in full swing. While Weekend Ka Vaar and Salman Khan remain the biggest highlights of the show, the makers have reportedly introduced significant changes on set following multiple death threats to the superstar.
According to reports, the production team has tightened security measures around Salman Khan, ensuring his safety during shoots. These adjustments include restricting live audiences, stricter entry checks, and enhanced surveillance across the set. The decision comes after repeated threats against the actor, prompting the show’s creators to prioritize his protection without disrupting the flow of the reality series.
The show's creator, Rishi Negi, discussed the security protocols on the set as well as other topics. In an interview with the Indian Express, Rishi Negi disclosed that their workforce consists of around 600 individuals. Employees work around the clock in three shifts, suggests a report by Pinkvilla.
Women are fairly represented in the workforce. "We are completely uncompromising when it comes to content security and on-ground logistics—both are top priorities," he stated.
Rishi went on to say that they had increased security over the past two and a half years due to threats against Salman Khan. On days when the Sikandar star is present, the show does not receive live crowds. Additionally, there are very severe rules regarding who can appear on the show. We conduct thorough background checks on all of the people we hire, whether they are temporary, permanent, or vendors," the CEO of Endemol Shine India continued.
For those who are unaware, Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai was the scene of gunfire in April 2024. Lawrence Bishnoi later posted on Facebook that he was responsible for the gunshot incident.
