Vicky Kaushal's latest film "Bad Newz," co-starring Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk, debuted strongly at the box office on July 19th. Early reports indicate the film surpassed expectations, grossing over Rs 8 crore on its opening day. This is reportedly the highest opening for Vicky Kaushal so far.
According to Sacnilk.com, the movie grossed a solid Rs 8.5 crore on its opening day. This strong performance can be attributed to the film's growing popularity throughout the day. Occupancy rates in the Hindi market started slowly at 13.26% for morning shows, but audience interest picked up considerably. By evening and night shows, occupancy skyrocketed to 21.74% and 37.16% respectively.
Despite a national average occupancy of 22.83%, Bad Newz saw stronger performance in Delhi NCR (26% occupancy with 1,054 shows) compared to Mumbai (20.75% occupancy with 835 shows).
