The beloved rom-com Vicky Donor, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam, is making a theatrical comeback, set to re-release 13 years after its original 2012 debut.

Rom-com Vicky Donor, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam, is set to re-release in theatres after 13 years of release in 2012.

Director Shoojit Sircar took to Instagram on April 15 and shared the exciting announcement with fans. Sharing a video consisting of clips and pictures from the film, he wrote, "“ VICKY DONOR” rereleasing on 18th April. PVR- INOX CURATED SHOWS. A tribute to our dear friends Jayanta Das and Akshay Verma."

For those unaware, Vicky Donor was John Abraham's debut film as a producer. The film was produced by John Abrahament. He also shared his anticipation on Instagram along with the caption, "My debut film as a producer is back on the big screen this weekend—April 18th! A bold, ahead-of-its-time story with a message that still hits home. I was lucky to collaborate with the amazing Shoojit Sircar, Juhi Chaturvedi, Anu Kapoor, and our incredible discoveries—Ayushmann Khurrana and the ever-wonderful Yami Gautam. Don’t miss this jaw-dropping comedy with a large heart! #VickyDonor re-releasing on April 18!"

Yami Gautam also took to the social media platform and shared a still from the wedding scene in the film calling it nostalgia. "Nostalgia #VickyDonor coming back to you in theatres!!!! Just 2 days to go."

Vicky Donor marked the debut of Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam in Bollywood. It is the story of a guy who donates his sperm in a sperm bank, leading to various consequences in his life.

Annu Kapoor, Dolly Ahluwalia, Tarun Bali, Krishna Singh Bisht, and Swaroopa Ghosh are also featured in the movie. The movie that broke social taboos surrounding infertility and sperm donation came out in 2012.
