Ananya Panday launches Kindness Curriculum

Bollywood actress and youth icon Ananya Panday has taken another important step in promoting children's emotional well-being with this inspiring action that combines empathy and education.

Her project So Positive has launched a ground-breaking Kindness Curriculum for Indian schoolchildren in partnership with the nonprofit Slam Out Loud.

This cutting-edge curriculum, which has its roots in arts-based learning, uses artistic mediums like poetry, storytelling, and visual arts to foster children's emotional intelligence.

The curriculum promotes the understanding, expression, and application of fundamental values such as kindness, empathy, and compassion—qualities that are becoming more and more important in the fast-paced, technologically-influenced world of today.

Ananya Panday's active participation is what makes this initiative unique. She assumes the special responsibility of mentoring young brains through the modules, fusing lessons from her own life with those that apply to everyone. Her presence helps bring the curriculum to life in a way that appeals to kids in addition to lending a recognisable and powerful voice.

Schools in several Indian cities are implementing the Kindness Curriculum through Slam Out Loud's Jijivisha Fellowship and Arts for All programs. The program, which is also freely accessible on So Positive's YouTube channel, is anticipated to benefit over 2.5 lakh children and provide educators, parents, and carers worldwide with convenient access. In order to reach more government and low-income schools, the team is also putting a lot of effort into making the program accessible on the Government of India's DIKSHA Portal.

Ananya shared, “Kindness has always been at the heart of everything we do at So Positive. It’s something I deeply believe in—not just as an idea, but as a way of life. I truly feel that if we can instil kindness in kids from a young age, it becomes second nature to them as they grow up. That’s why the Kindness Curriculum is so close to my heart. With everything going on in the world, I feel an even stronger need to help build a generation that’s more empathetic, emotionally aware, and simply… kind.”
