Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant got engaged in a traditional Gol Dhana ceremony on January 19, 2023, in Mumbai. This marked the beginning of their journey together, celebrated with grandeur and the company of close family and friends. The couple hosted two grand pre-wedding soirees: one in Jamnagar in March 2024, and the other on a luxurious cruise from Italy to France in the last week of May 2024. Their pre-wedding celebrations culminated in a star-studded week-long event in Mumbai, leading up to their wedding on July 12, 2024.
The Haldi ceremony was a highlight of their pre-wedding festivities, attended by many prominent figures from Bollywood, Hollywood, politics, global leaders, business, and the sports world. The event was a grand affair, reflecting the Ambani family's penchant for opulence and grandeur. The presence of such a diverse and high-profile guest list added to the event's charm, making it the talk of the town.
During the Haldi ceremony, Anant and Radhika were seen jumping in joy and fully immersed in the celebrations. The ritual involves applying turmeric paste (haldi) to the bride and groom, a tradition believed to bring good luck and ward off evil.
