Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is soon going to make a comeback on the small screen with the new season of the quiz-based show Kaun Banega Crorepati.

The veteran actor, who was seen in the super hit Kalki 2898 AD as the immortal Ashwathama, informed his fans that he will now start with the mock rehearsals for the new season of Kaun Banega Crorepati today (July 23).

He shared this information in his blog and wrote: "It is an early call tomorrow as we finalize the mock rehearsals for the new season for KBC, and the anticipation and the feel of the GOJ are similar."

Kaun Banega Crorepati returns with its 16th season on August 12. The show's promos and ads leading to its return have already started airing.

KBC, which is the most-awaited show on TV, is going to replace Mehndi Wala Ghar. The TV show Mehndi Wala Ghar is going off air in August as it hasn't done well on the TRP charts.

Talking about KBC host Amitabh Bachchan, he was recently seen and praised for his role as Ashwathamma in the recently released Kalki 2898 AD. His role has been loved by fans across ages.

Further about KBC, Amitabh Bachchan has been hosting KBC since its inception in 2000. He was unable to do the third season due to ill health, and it was then hosted by SRK.
