Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan recalled a moment with late business tycoon Ratan Tata on his popular show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 16'.
In a promo shared by Sony tv official, the Piku actor reminisced that Ratan Tata was such a humble human being. He recounted an experience where they were on the same flight to London, and after they landed, he asked for some money from him and this humble gesture moved the actor.
Notably, Tata passed away on October 9 at the age of 86 in Mumbai due to age-related health issues.
This episode also featured guests like Boman Irani and Farah Khan.
Big B shared, "Kya aadmi the main bata nahi sakta. Such a simple human being." Recalling a flight they took together to London, Bachchan described how Tata’s character shone through even in the simplest situations. 'Once, we both happened to be on the same flight,' he shared. 'We landed at Heathrow Airport, and the people who were supposed to pick him up must have left by then. I saw him standing there, and he went to a phone booth to make a call.'
What happened next was a moment Bachchan said he’d never forget. "A short while later, he came up to me and asked, ‘Amitabh, can I borrow some money from you? I don’t have money to make a phone call!'" Bachchan added, marveling at how a business magnate of Tata’s stature carried himself with such simplicity.
The official post read, "Listening to AB’s tales of the legendary Mr. Ratan Tata Dekhiye #KaunBanegaCrorepati, Mon-Fri raat 9 baje, sirf #SonyEntertainmentTelevision par."
