Farah Khan’s priceless reaction as Dilip opens up about their bond, says she’s ‘just like a mother’

Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan recently visited actor and ‘Bigg Boss 19’ celebrity Kunickaa Sadanand’s home to film a new episode of her cooking vlog. During the shoot, Farah’s cook Dilip was seen sharing a cheerful conversation with Kunickaa’s son, Ayaan Lall, while also talking fondly about his close relationship with Farah.

During her visit to Kunickaa’s house, Dilip jokingly proposed getting her son Ayaan married to his sister-in-law. He later advised Ayaan to marry only with his mother’s approval and said, “Aap mummy ki pasand se hi shaadi karna. Agar aap apni pasand se karoge, toh dekhne toh jaaoge make-up mein aur baad mein raat mein bhaag jaaoge.” This left Kunickaa and Ayaan in stitches. Farah, visibly shocked, added, “I didn’t even tell him this line; he said it on his own.”

Kunickaa then asked, “How is your bond with Farah?” To this, Farah put her hand on her head, covering her face and jokingly cautioned Dilip, not to say they have a mother-son bond. Dilip replied, “Bahut achha hai. Maa ke jaisa hi karti hai yeh,” implying that Farah treats him like a mother.

During the vlog, Farah also apologies for bashing Kunickaa during the Weekend Ka Vaar, and said that she had somehow become the main topic that week.

Responding to this, Kunickaa said, “Main royi zarur thi. Then I asked Bigg Boss to call me to the confession room. Mujhe pasand nahi aaya ki meri kitchen ki caring ko leke iss tarah se comment kiya gaya. You said that I was looking like a control freak.”

Kunickaa further revealed what she learnt from the incident and said, “So then I realised, main zindagi bhar logon pe itna pyaar daal deti hoon ki woh suffocate ho jaate hain. So I cut it. I realised you were right. I realised that even in my family, people must have felt suffocated.”

About the Farah Khan YouTube channel shared that she began her cooking vlogs during a pause between projects, while waiting to start work on her next film. She launched her YouTube channel in 2024, and over time, the cooking videos steadily picked up popularity. What truly struck a chord with viewers was her effortless banter with her cook, Dilip, which soon turned him into an unexpected internet favourite.

Speaking on Soha Ali Khan’s podcast, Farah also opened up about how she has supported Dilip beyond the screen. She revealed that she helped clear his debts and is now assisting him in building his house at no personal cost, funded through brand endorsements. Additionally, she ensured that Dilip’s children were sent to English-medium schools and supported one of his sons in pursuing a professional culinary diploma, highlighting her commitment to improving his family’s future.
