Prime Minister Modi in a social media post on X stated that if the Modi-led government is voted to power, in the third term, the focus will be on war against poverty and corruption. There will be a strong emphasis on social justice.

“The war against poverty and corruption will go on at an even faster pace . The emphasis on social justice will be strong,” PM Modi stated.

He iterated on the platform that the next five years will be about establishing a road map for India’s growth trajectory.

Mounting an attack on the opposition, PM Modi wrote that the opposition is “issueless and rudderless…their dynastic approach and attempts of dividing society are not being accepted. Equally hurting them is their corruption track record. People don’t want such leadership.”

He also used the opportunity to list out India’s achievements. “ We have become the fifth largest economy and crores of people have been freed from poverty. Our schemes have reached all parts of India and the emphasis of saturation has yielded great results.”

The Election Commission announced the schedule for Lok Sabha polls on March 16. The elections will be held in seven phases with voting to kick off on April 19 to June 1. The counting of votes will be on June 4.
