Tesla today announced its first pop-up experience in Bengaluru, marking the electric vehicle (EV) maker's debut in the city. The temporary showcase will be held at the ACKO Drive Service Centre in Kudlu Gate from January 15 to January 31, 2026, as the company looks to tap into rising interest in electric mobility in India's technology hub.

For reference, a Tesla pop-up is a temporary, short-term physical experience centre, not a permanent showroom or dealership.

The Bengaluru pop-up will feature four units of the Tesla Model Y. Visitors will be able to explore the vehicle through guided walkarounds and product demonstrations designed to explain Tesla's design approach, EV technology, safety systems and performance capabilities. The company said the experience is aimed at bringing potential customers closer to the brand by offering direct interaction with the vehicle in an immersive environment.

Located at Kudlu Gate, the pop-up is positioned to cater to Bengaluru's growing EV audience. Customers will also be able to book test drives through the Tesla India website and avail driving slots between 10 AM and 9 PM during the pop-up period. According to the company, the initiative is part of its broader efforts to expand its presence in India while increasing awareness and understanding of EVs and charging solutions.

The Model Y showcased at the Bengaluru pop-up is available in two trims in India. The rear-wheel drive version offers a WLTP-certified range of 500km, a top speed of 201kmph and a 0-100kmph acceleration time of 5.9 seconds, with a base price of Rs 59.89 lakh. The Long Range rear-wheel drive variant delivers a WLTP range of 661km, accelerates from 0-100kmph in 5.6 seconds and is priced at Rs 67.89 lakh. Both variants attract an order deposit of Rs 22,220 and an administration and service fee of Rs 50,000. The car prices are ex-showroom.

In India, Tesla currently operates experience centres in Gurugram, Mumbai and Delhi. The Bengaluru pop-up adds another touchpoint as the company builds visibility in key urban markets ahead of further expansion plans.
