The Gloster is MG's flagship SUV in India.

JSW MG Motor India has reduced the prices of its petrol and diesel SUVs after the government's Goods and Services Tax (GST) cut. The new prices are effective from September 22 and apply not just to the cars but also to spare parts and accessories.

The MG Astor now starts at Rs 9.65 lakh, down Rs 34,000 from Rs 9.99 lakh earlier. The MG Hector gets a price cut of Rs 49,000 from Rs 14.49 lakh and now begins at Rs 14 lakh.

The biggest drop is on the MG Gloster, the company's flagship SUV, which has become cheaper by Rs 2.83 lakh, with prices now starting at Rs 39.80 lakh compared to Rs 42.63 lakh earlier. All the prices are ex-showroom.

On top of this, MG is offering extra benefits of up to Rs 3.50 lakh on the Gloster. Buyers also get finance schemes like 100% on-road funding and a three-month EMI holiday.

The company says the idea is to pass on the full GST benefit to customers and make its SUVs more affordable as the festive season begins.

Apart from internal combustion engine (ICE) models, JSW MG offers electric vehicles (EVs) like the Comet, ZS, Windsor, M9 and Cyberster.
