Birla Mutual Fund has announced a dividend of 500% (Rs 50 per unit on the face value of Rs 10) in its Birla Sun Life Tax Relief 96, an open-end equity linked saving scheme (ELSS),  which aims to provide growth along with tax benefits to investors.  (Check out - Recent MF Dividends ) 

The record date for the dividend is March 16, 2007. All investors registered in the the scheme as on March 16, 2007 will receive this dividend. The NAV as on  March 12, 2007, was Rs 136.69.

The last dividend declared by the scheme was 260% in January 2007. Over the last one year, Birla Sunlife Tax Relief 96 has yielded 14.9% as compared to 12.7% given by its benchmark BSE 200 as on March 12, 2007.
