Promoter BNP Paribas sells 14.7% stake Geojit Financial; Equity Intelligence, ICICI Pru Life, Bajaj Allianz Life among buyers 13.6% shares

Promoter entity BNP Paribas SA has offloaded 14.68 percent equity stake in Geojit Financial Services via open market transactions on December 15. Of which, 13.6 percent shares were bought by three investors as well as founder.

Perhaps, Geojit Financial Services seems to have reacted to the large number of transactions, rising 7.9 percent to Rs 75.44 amid high volumes.

As per the bulk deals data, BNP Paribas SA, which held 22.13 percent stake as of September 2025, sold 4.1 crore equity shares (equivalent to 14.6 percent of paid-up equity) in Geojit for Rs 278.8 crore at Rs 68 per share.

However, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company picked up 1.25 crore shares for Rs 85 crore, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company 1.35 crore shares for Rs 91.8 crore, and ace investor Porinju Veliyath-owned portfolio management company Equity Intelligence India bought 80 lakh shares for Rs 54.4 crore.

Further, George John, the promoter and founder, has acquired 40 lakh shares for Rs 27.2 crore. The buying price for all these shares remains at Rs 68 per share.

Meanwhile, Corona Remedies has also seen strong buying on its listing day, closing 35.44 percent higher at Rs 1,438.4 on Monday. Invesco Mutual Fund has acquired 2.7 percent stake in the pharma company for Rs 241.55 crore.

The fund house picked up 7 lakh shares in Corona at Rs 1,434.2 per share, and 9.68 lakh shares at Rs 1,457.42 per share.

PPFAS Mutual Fund has acquired 56.78 lakh units in Brookfield India RET for Rs 185.09 crore at Rs 325.98 per unit, however, Bharti (SBM) Holdings sold 1.02 crore units for Rs 334.06 crore at Rs 326.16 per unit. The Real Estate Trust corrected more than 4 percent on Monday to finish at Rs 328.72.

Meher & Pheroz Pudumjee Family Discretionary Trust sold 1.12 lakh shares (equivalent to 0.52 percent stake) in Matrimony.Com for Rs 5.82 crore at Rs 518.46 per share, while Chungath Karunakaran Padma Kumar bought 8.4 lakh shares in Ratnaveer Precision Engineering for Rs 13.03 crore at Rs 155 per share.
