Trump says Ukraine could win back 'all of Ukraine'

US President Donald Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Tuesday, after which he commented on Ukraine’s ongoing conflict with Russia.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said, “I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form.”

"With time, patience, and the financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original Borders from where this War started, is very much an option," he further added.

Dismissing Russia as a “paper tiger” facing economic challenges, Trump added that Ukraine could “take back their country in its original form and, who knows, maybe even go further than that!”

Commenting on Russia’s military efforts, he said, “Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three and a half years a war that should have taken a real military power less than a week to win. This is not distinguishing Russia. In fact, it is very much making them look like ‘a paper tiger.’”

Trump suggested that once Russian citizens become aware of the resources being spent on the war in Ukraine, which he described as having "Great Spirit, and only getting better," Ukraine could “take back their Country in its original form and, who knows, maybe even go further than that!”

He added that Russian President Vladimir Putin and his country are in "BIG Economic trouble, and this is the time for Ukraine to act." Trump also said the U.S. will continue supplying weapons to NATO “for NATO to do what they want with them.”

The statement marks a notable shift from Trump’s earlier position, in which he suggested that Ukraine might need to consider territorial concessions as part of a negotiated settlement, reflecting a stance previously aligned with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Trump did not provide further details on US policy or direct involvement regarding the conflict.
