Shooting with 'multiple victims' in Washington's Renton, investigation underway

The Renton Police Department in Washington is reportedly investigating a deadly shooting involving "multiple victims". The incident took place near Kirkland Ave NE and NE 18th St, and an investigation in underway. The shooting occurred near Kirkland Avenue Northeast and Northeast 18th Street shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night.

Renton police said the suspect has not yet been traced. and urged people to avoid the area.

"Officers are investigating a shooting with multiple victims near Kirkland Ave NE and NE 18th St that occurred just after 7:30 pm. This is an active scene, so expect a heavy police presence. Please avoid the area. PIO is en route," read a post by Renton Police Department.

The incident came just a week after a man was shot five times at a transit centre in Renton. However, the previous incident followed a scuffle between a group in the area, and the prosecutors do not plan to press charges, Fox13 Seattle had reported.
