Sean “Diddy” Combs appeared in a Manhattan federal courtroom Friday for his sentencing hearing following his July conviction on two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution. Prosecutors are seeking an 11-year prison term, while his defense requested no more than 14 months, citing the 12 months Combs has already served.
Dozens of family members, including Combs’ six oldest children, his mother, and sister, attended the hearing, with some supporters seated in an overflow room. His ex-girlfriend, Gina Hyunh, listed as “Victim 3” in the indictment, was also present and has publicly expressed her belief that Combs should be released.
Emotional moments unfolded when Combs’ children pleaded for leniency, holding each other for support. During a defense video highlighting his career, philanthropic work, and family life, Combs became visibly emotional, covering part of his face, sobbing, and repeatedly tapping his feet.

Slavik also criticized Combs for scheduling a speaking engagement in Miami next week, calling it “the height of hubris.”
Combs’ son, Justin, described his father as a role model and said prison has helped him give up drugs and alcohol. “My father is my superhero. Seeing him broken down and stripped of everything is something I will never forget,” he said.
The hearing underscores the high-profile nature of the case, blending the celebrity status of Combs with the gravity of the crimes for which he was convicted.
