Reports this week have stirred intense speculation about a possible relationship between Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. According to outlets such as The Daily Mail, images circulated online appeared to show Perry and Trudeau together on a yacht near Santa Barbara, California, sparking rumours that went viral.

At her London show at the O2 Arena, Perry added fuel to the discussion with remarks that is seen as indirect confirmation of a new relationship. When a fan dropped to one knee mid-show and proposed, Perry playfully responded, “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago,” a timeline that matched when she was photographed with Trudeau off the California coast.

During the same performance, she teased the crowd again, saying, “London, England, you’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school? No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time… but not anymore.” The audience took that as a pointed hint, since Perry had previously been romantically linked to Englishmen like Russell Brand and Orlando Bloom.
