The Israeli Air Force struck the headquarters of Iran’s state television while a live broadcast was underway. A dramatic moment, when an explosion rocked the studio during the live transmission, has gone viral, with video clips of the incident being widely shared on social media. Meanwhile, Al Jazeera citing Mehr News Agency said that Iranian Broadcasting System anchor Sahar Emami returned to the live broadcast soon after the blast.

Moments before the attack, Emami was saying: “Listen, what you hear is the sound of the aggressor. You hear the sound of the aggressor attacking the truth.”
"The Zionist regime the enemy of the Iranian nation minutes ago conducted a military operation against the Islamic Republic of Iran news network", part of IRIB, said a senior official at the broadcasting service Hassan Abedini. "The regime (Israel) was unaware of the fact that the voice of the Islamic revolution and the great Iran will not be silenced with a military operation."
The airstrike occurred just moments before the Israeli Defense Forces issued an urgent evacuation warning for residents of District 3 in Tehran. According to the BBC, explosions were heard across various parts of the city following the attack.
Al Jazeera’s Dorsa Jabari noted that the state TV channel is the most widely watched in Iran, as foreign channels are banned. “People often rely on satellite dishes to access international media, which is usually difficult and unreliable,” she explained. “As a result, this state channel remains the most accessible source of information for the general public.”
