In light of Pakistan’s recent closure of its airspace to Indian flights, IndiGo Airlines has issued a travel advisory on April 25, 2025, for affected international commuters. The airline is offering flexible options such as rescheduling and full refunds to assist passengers impacted by the disruption.
"Due to airspace closure by Pakistan, a few of our international flights continue to be impacted. Our teams are working diligently to assess the situation and assist impacted customers with the best possible alternatives," IndiGo said in its advisory.

This move comes after India launched strong diplomatic and security responses following the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen. In response, Pakistan has taken what experts are calling “face-saving countermeasures,” including the controversial airspace closure.
India has responded firmly by suspending the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 until Pakistan ceases its support for cross-border terrorism. In addition, India has declared all defence, naval, and air advisors posted at the Pakistani High Commission as persona non grata and given them a week to leave the country. Simultaneously, Indian military advisors in Islamabad have been recalled.
Passengers booked on affected IndiGo flights are advised to check for updates on the official IndiGo website or mobile app and make use of the customer service channels provided for alternative arrangements.
