In her letter sent to Thackeray on Saturday, Sule said the previous government used to carry out recruitment for various state departments through the 'Mahaportal', a facility created solely for this purpose.

The former Union minister said he shares Sule's belief that social work and policy change are the paths to political empowerment.

As Ajit Pawar entered the Vidhan Bhavan premises on Wednesday morning, his cousin and Lok Sabha member Supriya Sule greeted him with a warm hug.

The Baramati MP described Patil's switchover to the ruling party as 'unfortunate'.

Sule polled 6,86,714 votes while her nearest rival Kanchan Kul of the BJP got 5,30,940 votes.

Sule, seeking re-election from the family bastion of Baramati in Pune district, said Modi has no issue to highlight and hence he is making personal remarks against Pawar, his family and the NCP (Nationalist Congress Party).

Sule has been renominated from the Pawar family turf Baramati, which she represents in the outgoing Lok Sabha.
