Kerala's second list of candidates was announced on Thursday

The Congress party on Thursday announced its second list of 37 candidates for the April 9 Keralam Assembly elections.

Other candidates in the list include K Neelakandan (Uduma), Sandeep Varier (Trikaripur), Rajeevan Kappachery (Kalliasseri), and Chandran Thillenkeri (Mattannur).

T P Shaji has been fielded from Pattambi, P Harigovindan from Shornur and Ajay Mohan from Kunnamkulam.

On Tuesday, the party had released its first list of 55 candidates for the Keralam elections.

The Congress is seeking to wrest back power from the LDF alliance, which has been ruling the southern state for the last decade.

The elections to 140-member Kerala Assembly will be held in a single phase on April 9, while the counting of votes is scheduled for May 4.
