The Sniper Elite franchise of third-person tactical shooters will get refreshed with a new game next year. The upcoming Sniper Elite game is Sniper Elite: Resistance, scheduled for a 2025 launch. It features a standalone story that runs in parallel with that of its predecessor Sniper Elite 5, which came out in 2022. Sniper Elite Resistance introduces a new protagonist to the sniping-heavy franchise. You play as Harry Hawker, a member of the Special Operations Executive (SOE).

Sniper Elite Resistance is set in Nazi-occupied France during the Second World War. The year is 1944 and the Allied forces are ready to wrest France away from the control of Hitler’s Germany.

The French Resistance find out a rumour about a secret Nazi weapon that’s “so ruthless and so severe” that it could “make it impossible to reclaim France”.
