How to download Mausam app on Android
1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android phone.
2. Search for “Mausam – IMD” in the search bar.
3. Look for the app developed by IMD - AAS.
4. Tap Install to download and install the app.
5. Once installed, open the app and allow the required permissions for location and notifications.

How to download Mausam app on iOS
1. Open the App Store on your iPhone.
2. Search for “Mausam IMD” using the search bar.
3. Locate the app offered by the India Meteorological Department.
4. Tap Get to install the app.
5. After installation, open the app and grant permission for notifications and location access.

How to enable heavy rain and heatwave alerts
1. Open the Mausam app on your device.
2. Allow necessary permissions — location, notifications, etc.
3. That’s it! You will start receiving notifications about weather alerts issued by IMD.
4. Now, head to Settings of the app and tap and enable the "Rain alert" option.

The app will send push notifications for alerts such as extreme rainfall, heatwaves, thunderstorms, and cyclones based on your selected regions. These alerts are issued by IMD and updated regularly.
