The iPhone 17 Air is set to be the new entrant in the iPhone lineup this year and will come with an ultra-slim design. The iPhone 17 Air is anticipated to hit the market globally in September 2025 alongside other iPhone 17 variants, potentially replacing the Plus model. Many leaks and rumours have revealed that this new variant is expected to bring a sleek design inspired by the iPad Pro and could be the slimmest iPhone ever. Now, a leaked image of the purported smartphone shows a pill-shaped camera module with a raised camera at the top, similar to Google Pixel’s design.
iPhone 17 Air design leaked
A new leak shared on X (formerly Twitter) by popular tipster Majin Bu reveals the alleged rear panel of the iPhone 17 Air shows a pill-shaped raised camera bar housing a single lens, accompanied by an LED flash and a microphone opening on the right. This falls in line with previous rumors, which claimed that the iPhone 17 Air will only offer one camera at the back.
The standout element in the leaked design is the large pill-shaped camera bar at the back, which looks suspiciously similar to the latest Google Pixel 9 series phones. Moreover, the phone could offer a 48MP camera sensor and on the front, it may include a 24MP TrueDepth selfie sensor.
Further, in terms of performance, the iPhone 17 Air is anticipated to be powered by Apple’s upcoming A19 chipset, which could offer greater efficiency and processing power. Additionally, the device would support Apple Intelligence features out of the box and will have 8GB of RAM.
