  • Pixel 10a confirmed for India launch, Flipkart microsite now live
  • Pre-orders expected globally from February 18, India likely to get early access
  • Pixel 10a features a 6.2-inch AMOLED display, Tensor G4 chip, and dual cameras

Google is getting ready to launch its next mid-range smartphone, the Google Pixel 10a, and India is clearly part of the plan. Ahead of the official announcement, Flipkart has quietly confirmed that the phone will be available on its platform, alongside Google’s own online store. A dedicated microsite for the Pixel 10a is now live on Flipkart, offering the first official look at the phone’s design.

Pre-orders for the Pixel 10a are expected to begin globally on February 18, and the Flipkart listing strongly suggests that Indian buyers won’t be left waiting too long this time.

From what we can see so far, the Pixel 10a sticks closely to the design language of the Google Pixel 9a. The phone appears with a flat metal frame and Google’s familiar pill-shaped camera island at the back, housing a dual-camera setup. The buttons remain on the right edge, and the front is expected to feature a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. One small but noticeable change is the camera bump, which now looks more flush with the rear panel, giving the phone a cleaner finish.

Flipkart’s teaser shows the phone in a blue shade, officially called Lavender. Leaks suggest more colour options could be on the way, including Obsidian (black), Fog (a light green replacing last year’s Porcelain), and a brighter Berry colour that leans towards pink or orange. Google has often used bold colours to give its “a” series a distinct identity, and the Pixel 10a seems to continue that trend.

In terms of specifications, leaks point to a 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of around 2,000 nits. This would make it one of the more compact mid-range phones available. Powering the device is expected to be Google’s Tensor G4 chipset, paired with a 5,100mAh battery. While the battery size may not be new, charging speeds could see an upgrade.

Camera hardware is tipped to include a 48MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 13MP front camera. As usual, Google is likely to lean heavily on software processing and AI rather than big numbers on paper.

With official specs still under wraps, it may be wise to wait for the launch. But if pricing is right, the Pixel 10a could appeal strongly to buyers who value reliable cameras, clean Android, timely updates, and Pixel-exclusive AI features.
