
Google is set to unveil its next ‘a’ series smartphone on Wednesday, February 18. The tech giant has been teasing the Pixel 10a as ‘the most durable Google Pixel A-Series yet,’ signalling its strong build quality. Ahead of the launch, alleged key specifications and features of the smartphone have surfaced online. Moreover, a tipster has suggested the Indian pricing of the Pixel 10a.
Google Pixel 10a: Expected specifications, AI features, price
As per a landing page on Flipkart, the Google Pixel 10a pre-orders will begin from 9 PM IST on February 18. The handset will also be available through the Google Store in India. Now, a US prepaid carrier named Tracfone has posted a Pixel 10a ‘Knowledge Base page, which confirms several key specifications of Google’s next smartphone. As per the listing, Pixel 10a will boast a display with Full HD+ resolution, a 6.3-inch screen size, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Like the Pixel 9a, it may be powered by a Tensor G4 chip. However, the phone will run the latest Android 16 OS out-of-the-box and could offer multiple years of software support. The device is expected to pack a 5,100mAh battery and is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup with a 48MP main sensor and a 13MP ultrawide shooter. For selfies and video calls, there will be a 13MP front-facing camera.
Google has also confirmed that the phone will have Gemini as its ‘built-in AI assistant’. Other expected AI features include Gemini Live, Pixel Screenshots, Magic Cue, Circle to Search, and the Camera Coach feature, which was introduced with the Pixel 10 series. According to prior leaks, the Pixel 10a will likely come in four colours: Obsidian Black, Berry, Lavender and Fog (light green). X tipster Yogesh Brar has mentioned that the phone could have a starting price of Rs 49,999, which is similar to its predecessor’s starting price.
