Before transferring your media and chats from WhatsApp, you must have Android OS 5 or above installed on your Android device. Also, the iPhone should at least have iOS 15.5 or above installed. Next, you must download the ‘Move to iOS’ application from the Google Play Store on your Android smartphone.

Since the transfer process can take a long time, especially if your WhatsApp backup is huge, you should keep both your Android phone and iPhone plugged into a power source or have at least 60% battery on your smartphones. Moreover, you either need to connect both your devices to the same wireless network, or your Android device will be connected to the iPhone’s custom hotspot network for seamless data transfer.

How to transfer WhatsApp chats from Android to iPhone

Download the Move to iOS app on your Android phone and follow the on-screen instructions.

When asked about a code, enter the code from your iPhone
