Hanooman AI on October 24 launched a multi-lingual and multi-modal foundational large language model (LLM) Everest 1.0, at the Nvidia AI Summit held in Mumbai.
Everest 1.0 supports 35 languages, with plans to extend this to 90 languages in the coming months, the company said in a press release. The platform is currently deployed on Yotta infrastructure and leverages the latest NVIDIA GPUs to train its models.
It is designed to handle wide range of tasks including text generation, image creation, code writing, voice generation, and document analysis.
Touting it as India's first multi-lingual and multi-modal foundational LLM, the artificial intelligence (AI) company called it a significant milestone in India's journey to becoming the global AI factory of the world.
Apart from Everest 1.0, Hanooman AI said it has developed a complete AI platform that provides infrastructure for deploying compute resources, deploying generative AI LLM models, creating AI agents. This platform empowers everyone -from individual developers to large enterprises- to build no-code agents and applications, deploy them, and train custom models using their own data.
"By reducing the cost of generative AI by a factor of 10, we are enabling the creation of millions of jobs and fostering a new era of innovation and growth," Vishnu Vardhan, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Hanooman AI, was quoted as saying.
On May 24, 2024, Vardhan told Moneycontrol that Seetha Mahalaxmi Healthcare (SML), which owns Hanooman AI, is mulling building a full-stack ecosystem of AI solutions, with its own operating system (OS) next in line.
In April, Hanooman announced a 50-50 percent partnership agreement with Abu Dhabi-based 3AI Holding.
SML and 3AI Holding launched the homegrown Gen AI platform Hanooman on May 10. It is available in 98 global languages, of which, 12 are Indian languages.
