Dying Light The Beast is a standalone game

Survival horror game “Dying Light: The Beast” has got a new release date and will now launch one day before the earlier announced date. The release date of the open-world action survival game has been moved up from September 19 to September 18, developer Techland announced. “Since more than 1 million players have already secured their copy” of the upcoming survival horror title, the release date had to be pushed up, the Poland-based developer said on its website.

Dying Light: The Beast is a standalone game in the Dying Light game universe and is preceded by Dying Light 2: Stay Human. The soon-to-be-launched open-world action survival game is set in a new region of Castor Woods and features Kyle Crane as the protagonist once again. After having been experimented upon for over a decade by the Baron, Kyle manages to make his escape. But he will have to learn to control the beast within as he now carries both human and zombie DNA. To get his revenge, he will have to learn to tame the beast first.

Dying Light: The Beast will launch for PS5 Pro, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store). Those players who own the Ultimate Edition of Dying Light 2: Stay Human do not have to purchase Dying Light: The Beast as they will receive it free of cost.

Dying Light The Beast: Pre-order benefits

Those who pre-order the Standard Edition of Dying Light The Beast will get the exclusive Hero of Harran Bundle, which contains the following items:

  • Ultimate Survivor Outfit
  • Harran Combat Knife (+ Upgradable Blueprint)
  • The Follower Crossbow (+ Upgradable Blueprint)
  • In Jade’s Memory Pistol (+ Upgradable Blueprint)
