The Apple WWDC 2025 keynote was packed with announcements, but ultimately, it was about one thing: the new Liquid Glass design everywhere. Whether it's iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS or CarPlay. Samsung, being Samsung, wasted no time in trolling these new features, especially when it came to Apple’s newly introduced Liquid Glass UI. Shortly after the keynote on June 9, Samsung’s US team took to X (formerly Twitter) to throw shade at Apple for features that it claims aren’t exactly new.
In one of its first posts reacting to Apple’s system-wide redesign across iOS 26, macOS 15, and other platforms, Samsung wrote:
“Customizable apps? Floating bars? That sleek glass UI? Looks… familiar

The tweet was a direct reference to Apple’s Liquid Glass aesthetic, which was positioned as a major visual shift during the keynote. Apple’s version brings semi-transparent interface elements and layered effects—something Samsung implied it had already implemented through its One UI customisation features on Galaxy devices.
Samsung didn’t stop there. As Apple introduced real-time translation powered by new AI capabilities in iOS 26, Samsung fired back with:
“New to live translations? Welcome aboard! We’ve been translating text and speech in real-time for a while now… #GalaxyAI”

The post points to Samsung’s Galaxy AI suite, which launched earlier this year on the Galaxy S24 series and has been available across select smartphones and wearables. Samsung’s live translation feature works on-device and offline in many cases, especially for speech and messaging apps.
The trolling continued when Apple unveiled new AI-driven features for Apple Watch, including contextual awareness and health prompts. Samsung had one more comment:
“AI is coming to your watch? Cute. Ours already knows when you’re too tired to care #GalaxyAI”
