The Multiplayer Ranked Play matches in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Season 1 will start from November 21. This time, Black Ops 6 Ranked Play comes with two new features: Map & Mode Veto and Forfeit. Let’s have a detailed look at the new Ranked Play feature in Activision's latest shooter in the Call of Duty Black Ops series.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Ranked Play feature: Map & Mode Veto
The Map & Mode Veto feature in Black Ops 6 Ranked Play gives players the chance to veto map and mode combinations they don’t want to play.
“Before each Ranked match, 3 map and mode combinations are presented in the Lobby and Ranked Play teams can independently vote to veto one of the presented options,” said the developers in an official blog post.
After both the teams have vetoed, the remaining match and mode option is chosen for the Ranked match. If both Ranked Play teams veto the same option, then the match and mode combination will be randomly selected out of the two non-vetoed options.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Ranked Play feature: Forfeit
In the other new Ranked Play feature called Forfeit, you can “vote with your team to end a match early if your team is getting blown out, or you’ve lost a teammate. All teammates must vote for the Forfeit for it to pass and end the match”.
In the Hardpoint game mode of Black Ops 6, Forfeit will become available (go to the Options Menu) once the winning team reaches 100 points. In the Control game mode, Forfeit will be available through the Options Menu after the first round while in Search & Destroy, it will be available after the third round.
A Forfeited match will be considered a standard loss and won’t lead to SR penalties or suspensions.
