Fans of NASCAR video games, if you have been meaning to add more NASCAR titles to your digital game library, you have less than a month to do so. All the NASCAR games and their respective DLCs from Motorsport Games will be delisted from the digital storefronts on December 31, Motorsport Games announced in a post on X.
The NASCAR titles that are going to be pulled off include titles from NASCAR Heat, NASCAR Rivals and NASCAR Ignition franchises. However, Motorsport Games made it clear that the NASCAR titles purchased from digital stores before December 31, 2024, will remain playable digitally. The NASCAR games will also remain playable in physical disc versions. They are going to be taken off only from the digital stores.
Since the NASCAR games are leaving the online stores after this December, you can look forward to some heavy discounts. In the X post addressed to the NASCAR game community, Motorsport Games asked NASCAR players to check for promotional offers this December before the racing games were made unavailable for purchase.
“We sincerely thank our community for the enthusiasm and support you’ve shown for these games over the years and hope you have enjoyed racing with us”, concluded Motorsport Games.
The NASCAR games have been there since the early 90’s and the franchise licence has changed hands several times. The list of publishers to get the NASCAR brand rights for video games includes Sierra, EA Sports, Hasbro Interactive, Activision, 704Games and Motorsport Games. Right now, iRacing holds the rights and is working on NASCAR ‘25, expected to launch in Fall 2025.
