Call of Duty Mobile gets Gundam crossover with Season 6: New 4v4 mode, themed events and more

Call of Duty Mobile Season 6 Gundams Arrive

Call of Duty Mobile's newly launched Season 6 is a Gundam-themed one. Named “Season 6– Gundams Arrive”, the new season marks a major collaboration with the Japanese military sci-fi franchise and gives players the chance to earn Gundam-themed operators, weapons and rewards in the mobile shooter.

New 4v4 multiplayer mode: Gundam Team Deathmatch

Season 6 of Call of Duty Mobile adds a new limited-time Multiplayer mode called “Gundam Team Deathmatch”, where players get to play as operators themed around Gundams, like Ethan — Freedom Gundam, Reaper — Sazabi Gundam, Proton — v Gundamo, and Deathscythe Gundam (EW). The Gundam Team Deathmatch battles are fought from a third-person perspective on a brand new map featuring an interstellar space station.

As per Call of Duty Mobile developers, the Gundam Team Deathmatch 4v4 mode is “based around classic mech vs mech Gundam duels, where the battles are smaller and designed for fluid and versatile combat. Dodge, sprint, and activate your vertical jets to get up high using the suit’s mechanized mobility features. Instead of your normal Loadout weapons, each Gundam comes with its own special abilities and weapons.”

Bonus Gundam Animations
Once players complete a game in Gundam Team Deathmatch, they can watch Gundam-themed operator animations outside the match and earn rewards. More animations will be unlocked through player participation in Gundam Team Deathmatch, and throughout normal Multiplayer and Battle Royale modes, the developers said in a post.

New Call of Duty Mobile Themed Event: Survival of the Fittest

Players who complete the missions and challenges in the “Survival of the Fittest” event will receive Gundam-themed rewards, including the legendary weapon J358 — Fin Funnel v Gundam, Urban Tracker — Defense Force, Cyro Bomb — Haro (reskin), Emote — Haro Team, new camos and more. The developers have also added several other events offering free seasonal rewards, including login events and check-ins.

New Call of Duty Mobile Themed Event: Independence Day

The other new Call of Duty Mobile Themed Event celebrates the US Independence Day. The US Independence Day event starts on July 4 and ends on July 9. Independence Day-themed Calling Cards, Charms, Weapon Blueprints and more items are in store for players who log in and play Multiplayer and Battle Royale matches throughout the event.
