Starlink has revealed its India pricing, confirming a monthly residential plan at Rs 8,600. The service aims to deliver high-uptime satellite broadband with unlimited data and a simple plug-and-play setup.
Elon Musk’s satellite internet venture Starlink is expected to launch in India soon. Ahead of that, the company has revealed the India pricing of the service officially. This reveals exactly how much users will have to pay in order to use the Startlink internet service in the country.
Starlink India pricing
According to the information visible on the Starlink India website, the company will offer a Residential service tier targeted at households and it will cost Rs 8,600 per month.
Starlink describes the Residential plan as the best option for families seeking a reliable, high-speed internet connection that works even in locations where traditional broadband options are inconsistent or unavailable.
The service promises a plug-and-play setup, meaning customers only need to power on the Starlink kit and point it at the sky to begin receiving internet access. This eliminates the need for complex installation or reliance on local cable infrastructure.
Key features highlighted
The company claims the Residential tier offers >99.9% uptime, ensuring minimal downtime during daily usage. The service is also expected to be weather resilient, a critical factor for users in regions affected by heavy rainfall, storms, or challenging climate conditions.
In addition, Starlink is offering unlimited data, which means customers won’t face throttling or caps based on how much internet they consume.
A 30-day trial is also part of the plan, giving users the option to test the service before committing long-term. This is particularly important for rural and semi-urban consumers who depend heavily on connectivity for work, studies, and entertainment.
Business plan will also be offered
The website also mentions a Business plan alongside the Residential plan. However, that section is currently empty.
The monthly cost of Rs 8,600 places Starlink on the higher end of the broadband pricing spectrum in India. However, the company is positioning its service as a premium connectivity solution designed for areas with poor broadband penetration.
